I'm working on a "What if Fox made an X-Men spinoff series a'la Agents of SHIELD?" fic featuring the NXM kids set in the X-Films 'verse, (I'm A) a tremendous geek, and B) I get bored
) and one of the scene ideas I have for Laura's arc (not nearly close to that episode yet) was directly inspired by this picture. There's something kind of powerful about the idea of her sitting alone on a playground lamenting the childhood she was denied.
